Paul Lai is a PhD candidate in the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Education. An English teacher, literacy and language development researcher, and comics culture podcaster, he studies the intersections between schooling, culture, youth, and urban and diverse communities in the US. His home and heart are in the California Bay Area.
