Bio

Gil Costa was born in Sintra, Portugal and has a Biology degree and a PhD in Neuroscience, from the University of Coimbra, Portugal. His research was done in the Champalimaud Neuroscience Program (CNP) and was focused on the topic of decision making, more specifically on olfactory guided decisions and decision confidence estimates. Parallel to his scientific work he has been developing skills on graphical design, starting in 2005 creating posters for theatre plays. More recently he has been focusing on design for scientific events and has joined the Science Communication group of the CNP. Here Gil is mostly responsible for Design and Visualization materials for both public outreach and communication amongst scientific peers.
