The conversation spans the topics of sonic thought, shamanism, and the split between nature and humanity&#8217;s technological interventions.\u00a0The podcast was recorded on the 4th of August 2024.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About The Speaker<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Thom Kubli is a Swiss-German composer and artist.&nbsp;In his works, he pursues an augmented concept of sonic thinking, embracing AI, digital network strategies, and material and machine science. He is well known for exploring acoustic environments and translating them into visual art, immersive installations, and performance experiences.&nbsp;His composition works comprise soundtracks for film, theater, and radio plays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Kubli showed his work at the New Museum of Contemporary Art (NYC), Ars Electronica (Linz), the House of Electronic Arts (Basel), FILE-Festival (S\u00e3o Paulo), and in various other galleries and museum sites; The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Wired, Rhizome, and Contemporary Performance featured his projects. He frequently has lectured at MIT Media Lab and Harvard Department of Art, Film, and Visual Studies.
