Amar is an artist and the creator of Shared_Studios (www.SharedStudios.com), a multidisciplinary arts collective focused on carving wormholes through the world. Their first initiative, Portals, has linked thousands of people in one-on-one conversation across various forms of distance, from Herat, Afghanistan and Tehran, Iran to New York and Havana, Cuba. Amar is also the creator of the Legal Medium: New Encounters of Art and Law (www.thelegalmedium).com​, a symposium bringing together artists, lawyers and theorists to examine how artists are using law as material in their work.
