Bio

Sarah Koehler is a graduate student in statistics at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. She is originally from Ames, Iowa and earned a B.A. in anthropology from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. After college, Sarah completed a Fulbright U.S. student research grant in Sri Lanka, where she studied traditional dance technique and performance. Sarah currently conducts research in environmental epidemiology at Colorado State University while completing her master’s degree in statistics. Her focus is creating a software package in R to run air pollution data simulations and fit statistical models. She plans to use this publicly available software to evaluate new models for relating air pollution to human health. Sarah also volunteers with Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains and enjoys cooking, crafting, and boxing.
